Live Music for Yoga, Retreats & Contemplative Gatherings

Music has always been more than performance for me—it has been a way of listening, connecting, and creating space.

While many know me as an award-winning Americana songwriter, my creative path has always extended beyond the concert stage. A recipient of the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, a two-time Telluride Arts grantee, and a two-time City of Chicago (DCASE) Individual Artist Grant recipient, I've spent my career exploring music not only as an art form, but as a contemplative practice.

My first record, Back to Bodhi, took its name from the Bodhi Tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment—a reflection of a lifelong curiosity about where music, presence, and spiritual traditions meet.

That journey has carried me from touring India with The Bluegrass Journeymen and performing at Bhakti Fest to collaborating with kirtan musicians, studying rhythm and community through my travels in Africa, and most recently, co-creating musical experiences at the Telluride Yoga Festival alongside internationally respected teachers including Janet Stone and Kristin McGee.

"Live, intuitive organic music that moves with the practice."

Rather than performing for a yoga class, I collaborate with each teacher to create an East-meets-West musical dialogue that follows the natural arc of breath, movement, stillness, and integration. Every offering is fully improvised and shaped in real time, responding to the unique energy of the room and supporting the intention of the practice.

While many classes unfold as an entirely instrumental collaboration, I am occasionally invited to conclude with a small selection of original songs inspired by my travels and my study of contemplative traditions, and the universal themes of belonging, wonder, and connection.

Whether supporting an energizing vinyasa flow, restorative practice, meditation, retreat, teacher training, or an outdoor gathering in nature, my intention remains the same: to create a grounded musical landscape that invites presence, curiosity, and authentic connection.

What to Expect

Every collaboration is tailored to the teacher, the students, and the space. Using acoustic guitar, voice, subtle electronic textures, and spontaneous improvisation informed by Americana, Celtic traditions, Indian musical concepts, and other global folk traditions, I create an atmosphere that supports the practice without distracting from it.

The result is never a concert and never simply background music. It is a living collaboration—one that breathes with the room and invites participants into a deeper experience of presence.

If you're looking to create a practice where music becomes an active participant in the journey, I'd love to explore what's possible together.
